MomMentor is your companion through all three phases of the pregnancy journey—trying to conceive, pregnancy, and postpartum. We offer trusted support through:

1. A conversational AI assistant for nutrition-related questions.

2. A nutrition tracking tool with an ingredient search and barcode scanner to help monitor calories, sugar, fiber, and macronutrients.

3. A blood sugar level tracker, designed with women managing gestational diabetes, to easily track and monitor blood sugar levels and track trends.

By accessing or using MomMentor, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

 

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and reside in a country where our app is legally offered through the Apple App Store.

2. Our Services

MomMentor provides:

• AI-Powered Assistant – Chat with an AI about anything related to your pregnancy journey.

• Ingredient Scanner + Search – Scan barcodes or search for food items to access basic nutrition information.

• Blood Sugar tracking – track blood sugar levels and monitor trends.

These services are for informational and educational purposes only.

3. AI Disclaimer

The AI assistant in MomMentor is powered by a large language model (LLM). While designed to provide helpful and relevant nutritional guidance, it:

• May not always be accurate or reflect current medical or nutritional standards.

• Cannot assess your personal health history, allergies, or specific medical needs.

• Should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or healthcare advice.

Always consult with your doctor, OB-GYN, or a registered dietitian before making health-related decisions.

4. Not Medical Advice

No part of the app provides professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. MomMentor is not a medical device and does not replace your healthcare provider.

If you experience any medical emergency, call your doctor or local emergency services immediately.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the app only for personal and lawful purposes.

• Not misuse, reverse-engineer, or resell any part of the app.

• Enter truthful information if prompted (e.g., during onboarding or feedback).

6. Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. We do not sell your data.

7. Third-Party Content

The barcode scanner and food database may access third-party nutrition data. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in third-party content or databases.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, code, visuals, trademarks, and technology in MomMentor are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part without our permission.

9. App Store & Google Play Compliance

MomMentor complies with the policies of the Apple App Store, including:

• Platform-specific privacy and security standards

• Parental guidance recommendations

• Age-appropriate content ratings

• App-specific disclaimers (as required by platform)

We may suspend your access if you violate these Terms or if required by the app platforms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law, MomMentor and its creators are not liable for any harm, loss, or injury resulting from:

• Your reliance on AI-generated or scanned/searched nutritional information,

• Inaccurate third-party data,

• Delays, errors, or bugs in the app.

Use the app at your own risk and always defer to your healthcare provider.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to MomMentor at any time, especially if you violate these Terms or misuse the app.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Virginia. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Virginia.
